Over the years, an exhibition area was added to the Historical Archive. The first exhibition in the Italgas Museum took place in 1994 and was mainly dedicated to illustrating the history of gas: from production by distilling coal to the advent of methane, up to their uses for lighting, heating, cooking and precision and technical instruments in scientific laboratories.
In 2008 the museum moved to the Italgas office headquarters: the exhibition and narrative paths were re-elaborated by adding multimedia and interactive elements, mainly for the benefit of student audiences.
