BRINDISI A CORTE - CASTELLO DUCALE DI AGLIÈ - ERBALUCE DOCG

CULTURE & TRADITION
FOOD AND WINE
Three types of wine - Erbaluce di Caluso, Spumante and Passito - are made from the Erbaluce white grape. The grape’s name is reminiscent of the legendary nymph Albaluce. With its straw yellow colour, Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG is a dry wine made in the Canavese territory. This wine was also served at the royal tables in the castle belonging to the Duke of Agliè, thanks to the proximity of the renowned Erbaluce vineyard, which was already mentioned in 1606 in the book by the Court of Savoy’s jeweller Giovanni Battista Croce, which lists some wines and the main grapes grown in the Turin area at that time.

During the tour visitors wil be able to visit the ancient kitchens of the Royal Residence.
