-
Two great Piedmontese men, different from each other in terms of age and biography, yet united by international prestige and by the activity of music promoters. Maurizio of Savoy (1593-1657), better known as Cardinal Maurizio: exploration of his multifaceted historical figure will be the goal of the international conference “Maurizio di Savoia. Cardinal, prince and patron between Roma and Torino” scheduled in Torino from 23 to 25 September 2021, promoted by the Institute for Musical Heritage in Piemonte.
The second focus of these important days of study will be the other great Piedmontese figure, the musicologist Alberto Basso, on the occasion of his ninetieth birthday.
