The gardens were established in 1729 at the request of Victor Amadeus II of Savoy in order to illustrate the flora, its uses and origins.
The visit includes a narrative of the garden’s history and an examination of the family’s flower-beds for edible, ornamental and medicinal plants, the themed collections and the Grove.
A tour for blind and visually-impaired persons is available.

SAFETY RULES: the number of visitors must necessarily be limited.The reservation fot the guided tours only can be made by filling in this FORM. The stay inside the garden will last a maximum of 90 minutes. The usual guided tours have been suspended until a date to be announced. It will not be possible to enter the greenhouses because the ventilation required by the COVID-19 protocols cannot be guaranteed in those environments. The toilets, for logistical reasons, will not be accessible.
Visitors will be asked to follow these instructions: At the entrance, follow the indications relating to the flow in and out of the premises. Wear a mask, sanitize your hands with the disinfectant gel at the entrance before approaching the ticket office, prepare the exact money or in small bills. Maintain a distance of 2 m from other people except for your own family.

The Torino Botanical Garden is open to the public on weekends and holidays, with the possibility of guided tours for small groups included in the admission fee.
