Royal Museums
The Kitchens, located in the basement of the east wing, were returned to the public in 2008 following careful restoration work that made it possible to recover rooms, furniture and utensils, including about two thousand copper pieces, from large fish kitchens to cake and biscuit moulds. Starting in the 1930s, the rooms were divided into Royal Kitchens, for Victor Emmanuel III and Elena of Montenegro, and Kitchens of the Princes of Piedmont, Umberto and Maria Josè, for the service of the various members of the royal family.
