CASTELLO DI AGLIÈ

A romantic triumph of elegance.
With a history going back seven centuries, involving dukes, princes and kings, the Castle of Agliè, formerly belonging to the marquises of San Martino, has an ancient and noble past, as can be seen by the variety of decor that still features in apartments and gardens.

Surrounded by a park with ancient trees and vast glasshouses, the castle has over 300 rooms, containing a legacy of furniture and precious, eclectic collections ranging from paintings to archaeological finds and through to surprising ornithological and oriental collections.

The frescoed Ballroom and the series of perfectly preserved period rooms make this castle a triumph of elegance and splendour.

 

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (last entry 12 noon) and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. (last entry 6 p.m.)

 

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays closed

 

Reservation required for visits to the Castle.

 

Guided group tours, max. 25 people, departing every hour from 9.00 am

 

Reservations: drm-pie.aglie.prenotazioni@cultura.gov.it; tel. 0124 330102 (service available Monday to Saturday from 9.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 18.00). Reservations are considered to have been made following confirmation by e-mail from the Agliè Castle Reservations Office.

 

It is necessary to arrive at the ticket office about 15 minutes before the time at which the visit has been booked.

In view of the possible difficulties in organising the service due to the current epidemic emergency, it is advisable to contact the Castle (0124 330102) for confirmation of opening days and times.
