TPE produces a new work by Claudio Morganti. This time, the "great improviser" of Italian theatre deconstructs and recomposes Franz Kafka’s The Trial.
Josef K. is arrested by two court officers, condemned and executed without being informed of the charges against him and without any real defence. The theatrical restitution is wordless. A very fine score of small farces and episodes made up only of gestures, sounds, noises and objects through a simple and poetic mimicry. The stage space is a surrogate circus, built piece by piece by Abbiati and Morganti using things and recycled materials. Abbiati is from time to time policeman, jailer, judge, accused and accuser, in a whirlwind of faces, winks, recorded sounds and instruments played live, where silence is an integral part of the dramatic score.
