DALLA PALLACORDA AL TENNIS. BREVE STORIA DI UNO DEI GIOCHI PIÙ BELLI AL MONDO DAL SETTECENTO A OGGI

CULTURE & TRADITION
-
The Accorsi-Ometto Museum of Decorative Arts pays tribute to the game of tennis by exhibiting some photographs and a series of objects from the early 1900s, from the archives of Castello di Pralormo, and one of the lesser known treasures from its collection.

It is a majolica plate made in Turin around 1765, depicting a young man about to hit a ball with his racket. It is one of the very few ceramic iconographies of the so-called “pallacorda” game.
