EVE ARNOLD - L’OPERA 1950-1980

Eve Arnold, the famous American photographer who forged a true artistic partnership with Marilyn Monroe that resulted in some of her most iconic shots, will be the star of CAMERA - Centro Italiano per la Fotografia’s first exhibition of 2023.

The first woman, together with Inge Morath, to be a member of the Magnum Agency since 1951, Eve Arnold photographed the great movie and show business stars of the post-war period, from Marlene Dietrich to Joan Crawford to Orson Welles, but she also tackled themes and issues that are absolutely central to today’s public debate, such as the issue of racism in the United States, women’s emancipation, and the interaction between the world’s different cultures.

he exhibition, consisting of 170 photographs, is realised in collaboration with Magnum Photos.
