Turn of the Screw, a famous modern ghost story by Henry James: a governess accepts the offer of an estate’s mysterious administrator to take over the education of young Miles and Flora. She soon realises that the two children are possessed and tormented by the evil spirits of two deceased servants. In Valter Malosti’s theatrical adaptation, Irene Ivaldi gives body to the mysterious governess, literally possessed by the presences evoked from time to time. A polyphony of voices that becomes a psychic adventure, the noise of thought. The spectator is forced to participate, to ask himself questions about the meaning of the story. And so the story becomes everyone’s story, remaining ambiguous and indecipherable.
