CULTURE & TRADITION

Raffaele Salvoldi is the author of two installations built with Kapla bricks, superimposed one on top of the other without nails, glue or any other type of binder, which stand out in the entrance hall of the Agliè Castle, drawing the skyline of an imaginary city that, with the vertical thrust of spires over 8 metres high, seems to defy the laws of physics.
This extraordinary urban landscape, suspended in an atmosphere of dreamlike and fairytale-like cadences, invites the public to explore the concept of beauty and to reflect on the importance of caring for it. The Imaginary City is not simply an exhibition of works to be observed, but an experience to be lived, starting with the installation process that took place directly in the Savoy residence, as visitors passed through.
