The Strike exhibition, conceived and realised by Pinacoteca Agnelli, will be open to the public from Wednesday 8 March to Sunday 23 July 2023 in the museum’s spaces in Turin. It will then be presented at the Bourse de Commerce - Pinault Collection in Paris from 20 September 2023 to 12 February 2024. Strike, curated by Sarah Cosulich and Lucrezia Calabrò Visconti, is Lee Lozano’s first monographic exhibition in Italy. The exhibition fits coherently into the institution’s renewed contemporary mission, which aims to bring to light new artistic perspectives in relation to the historical and symbolic legacy of the exhibition venue and its industrial past. The title of the exhibition takes its cue from "General Strike Piece" (1969), one of Lozano’s most important textual works, which anticipates the artist’s decision to definitively leave the art scene in 1972.
