GRANDUBBIONE

Climbing
Difficulty: 3b / 6c
This spot can be reached from Turin taking the motorway for Pinerolo, then the way for Sestriere. Go into the Val Chisone and follow the SS 23 until Pinasca, just a short way after Dubbione. About half way along Pinasca, turn right into Via Paolassa, and then follow the signs for Serre Moretto and Gran Dubbione.
After about 6km, at Serre Marchetto, the road goes down into the valley of Gran Dubbione just before the first houses of Serre Moretto. At about 9km from Pinasca, turn left, continue along the road which turns into a dirt road, until reaching a small car park close to a bridge over the stream. From the car park, go over the bridge and take the sheep track which rises to the left running alongside the stream. At the end of the group of stone houses, turn left along the path which goes around the last house and go down the small side of the stream coming from the valley where the walls of the climb are situated.
A small sign indicates the direction for the climbing area: beyond the stream, the trail climbs the slope, tending to the right, towards the entrance to the valley headed by the Torrione del Visconte. After a few dozen metres you come to a fork where the signs indicate the Baal sector on the left and, on the right, the Visconte, the Oasi and the other bolted sectors.
