VALLONE DI SEA

Climbing
Difficulty: 5b / 7a+
Length: 7 h
Since the 1970s, all the various walls have been explored by some of the top people in Turin rock climbing, such as G. Grassi and G. Motti, and somewhere in the region of 200 routes have been marked out. The Specchio di Iside, together with the nearby Trono di Osiride, is probably the best rock wall in the valley and also the one on which the most challenging routes have been created. Sogno di Sea is often defined in guidebooks as the emblematic route of the Valley. The area is situated at between 1500 and 1700m, and can be reached along a path entailing a walk of from 30 minutes to 1½ hours. There are bolted, partly bolted and not bolted routes, of length from 20 to 300 metres.
