FRAMMENTI DI UN BESTIARIO AMOROSO

CULTURE & TRADITION
-
These are 46 photographs shot in various countries of Europe, Asia and Africa from 1974 to 2010 by Marilaide Ghigliano, Turin photoreporter attentive to sentiments. In this exhibition he focuses on the importance of animals in the life of man and on the affective bond that arises, a particularly current theme but documented in the figurative arts since the most ancient times. The images enter into dialogue with two important 17th-century paintings, “Adonis” and “Venus and Cupid” of Carlo Cignani whose presence is important for the closeness of the themes developed by the Bolognese painter with those of the exhibition.
