GIACOMO GROSSO. UNA STAGIONE TRA PITTURA E ACCADEMIA - PINACOTECA DELL'ACCADEMIA ALBERTINA

CULTURE & TRADITION
-
The second appointment of the cycle “The Masters of the Albertina Academy”, the exhibition focuses on the artistic activity of the artist - particularly in the field of portraiture -, on the years teaching at the Academy and on his participation in major international events: faces, looks, sumptuous “toilettes” express the sense of Grosso’s visual search and the extraordinary definition of the interiors. On display, the paintings are flanked by a range of accessories such as elegant hats, ostrich feather fans, satin evening shoes and suede gloves, all from the collections of the Liceo Passoni in Torino; from mid-October 20 mannequins, wearing suggestive dresses from the Roberto Devalle Collection dating back to 1880-1930, will be inserted in the museum itinerary.
