MICHAEL RAKOWITZ. LEGATURA IMPERFETTA

CULTURE & TRADITION
-
The first European retrospective, organized in collaboration with the Whitechapel Gallery in London, dedicated to the American Jewish-Iraqi artist Michael Rakowitz (1973), creator of sculptures, drawings, installations, videos, as well as collaborative and performative projects. The exhibition presents a preview of the most important works created by the artist in over twenty years of activity inspired by architecture, archeology, cuisine and geopolitics, from the ancient times to the present. The artworks narrate the great historical transformations caused by wars and other traumas, pointing out the contradictions of globalization.
