In the Persian and Arabic languages, “safar” means travel. MAO hosts Farian Sabahi’s photographs taken in the Middle East between February 1998 and the spring of 2005: The verses of the Persian poet Rumì are the reverse shot of the images, which were embroidered by the young artist Ivana Sfredda.
