VILLA RUSTICA ROMANA

Archaeological Site

La villa rustica di Caselette rappresenta un’importante testimonianza di epoca romana, situata nella zona dei Pian, sulle basse pendici sud orientali del Musiné. Realizzata nella piena età augustea, ebbe diverse fasi costruttive che si protrassero complessivamente dalla fine del I sec. a.C. a tutto il III sec. d.C. Essa era probabilmente una villa rustica, un’azienda agricola dove si svolgevano attività agricole e di allevamento e una modesta produzione artigianale, composta da una parte abitativa e da una produttiva.
