EXPOSED. WORKS FOR A COSMIC FEELING

Works for a Cosmic Feeling is a collection of photographic works that employ the tools of science and philosophy to explore what Romain Rolland (in a 1927 letter to Sigmund Freud) called the ’oceanic feeling’ referring to the sensation of being one with the Universe.

Following the Taoist principle of the ’spirit of the valley’, Fabio Barile’s works explore multiple trajectories in an attempt to behave as a complex system. The work is presented as a stream of consciousness and an immersive journey into becoming and interconnectivity, incorporating the process of transformation over time as an integral part of the work itself. These works do not consider inconsistency and imperfection as flaws, but as essential elements of evolution.
