JACOPO BENASSI. AUTORITRATTO CRIMINALE

The exhibition will present a project by the artist created in dialogue with the GAM collections and starting with the acquisition of the Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT Panorama di La Spezia, 2022: a large installation composed of photographs, paintings, casts and plaster casts in which Benassi makes a self-portrait of himself through some details and elements of his hometown. The exhibition will display to the public the precious 19th-century plaster study made by Leonardo Bistolfi for the Monument to Cesare Lombroso and will consist of a video of Jacopo Benassi’s Autoritratto criminale.
