FOOD AND WINE
Every year, since 1998, the Municipality of Vaie has organised the ’Sagra del Canestrello’ (Canestrello Festival), a food and wine event organised by ’GustoValsusa’, which since 2024 has been part of the ’Fieramente in Piemonte’ (Fairly in Piedmont) event established by the Region.
The festival is combined with a competition dedicated to home-made products, the ’Canestrello d’Oro’ for the best traditional biscuit, which in recent years has been enriched with new categories, the Canestrello Fantasia and the Canestrello Junior.
The Canestrello di Vaie is also in the basket of typical products of the Province of Turin and bears the ’Dolce Valsusa’ label and the ’Trademark of typical Susa Valley products’.
