One of the most important and engaging Piemonte historical events on the exploits of Arduino, the first King of Italia. Arduino Marquis of Ivrea,is remembered as the first King of Italia.
When, in around 1000, his supporters proclaimed him king, Arduino was in Canavese: the first to welcome him with joy were the citizens of Cuorgnè,who swore their loyalty to him and began great celebrations.
A big party that is repeated every year with historic parades,dances,horse tournaments and dexterity competitions.
Commemoration of the historical event of the Marquis of Ivrea Arduino, crowned king of Italia in 1002 and, according to tradition, he also passed through “Corgnate” after having resisted in the Rocca of Sparone to the siege by the emperor Ottone. Hundreds of figures in medieval costume, numerous guest groups, but above all the people give him and the queen Berta a warm welcome among songs, dances, shows and abundant libations.
