A SPASSO CON L'ARTE. OPERE DI OLIVETTI A IVREA

Urban Itinerary
Departure: Ivrea
Arrival: Ivrea
Difficulty: T
Length: 6 h
The project "A spasso con l'arte. Opere Olivetti a Ivrea" aims at enhancing the Olivetti culture and the UNESCO site, promoting a pedestrian and cycle path to discover some works of art in the city of Ivrea, highlighting the collective and public value of art.

The project is aimed at diversified audiences (from schools to tourists, from families to business groups) to expand the possibility of freely enjoying works of art in the urban context, as an opportunity to rediscover cultural assets that are closely linked to Olivetti's history and offer moments of encounter with beauty.

It is an itinerary which, by means of geolocalised podcasts, offers passers-by, tourists, citizens or visitors the chance to listen to a few minutes' narration explaining the work of art (in Italian, English and French) via the free LOQUIS application.
The audio files can be listened to on site via the app or even remotely via the digital platform.

The works identified and narrated are:
the bas-relief by Marcello Nizzoli (1961) and the sculpture by Andrea Cascella (1960) at the entrance to Palazzo Uffici 1 Olivetti in Via Guglielmo Jervis 77;
the sculpture by Sandro Cherchi (1963) on the ground floor and visible from the outside at Villa Casana in Via Miniere 31;
the statue of Camillo Olivetti by Mirko Basaldella (1948) at the Salone dei 2000 in Via Jervis 11;
the monument to Camillo Olivetti by Emilio Greco (1957) in Corso Nigra;
Alejandro Otero's 'Solar Structure' (1977) in via Primo Levi.
