an adventurous trekking weekend sleeping at altitude in one of the most beautiful places in the Gran Paradiso National Park: the Royal Hunting House of the Gran Piano. On Saturday we will start from Ceresole Reale 1550m. From here we will climb up to Colle Sià 2270 m with truly pleasant views, then a long crossing with several ups and downs and some short technical stretches allows us to travel along the southern side of the mountain up to the beautiful plateau which houses the historic Casa di Caccia 2222 m. A remote place, which hosts a park ranger surveillance point and is partly used as an unattended refuge, where we will sleep. The next morning we will get up early to be able to make an excursion into the nearby Ciamouseretto valley, then we will return to the valley to Noasca in the afternoon. Difference in altitude: the first day approximately 900m uphill, the second day 300m uphill (optional) and 1200/1500 downhill - good paths and mule track with some technical sections
