Visitor Centre
Fields, woods, lakes, royal residences and old farmsteads, horses, clearings and paths where you may come across timid wild hares and deer. La Mandria Park is all this and more. In addition to the wonderful excursions on foot, you can discover the Park by choosing from a variety of transports that the Park authority makes available: bicycle, carriage, miniature train and a minibus in the evening. Fans of landscape can reach the charming Villa dei Laghi; history enthusiasts shouldn’t miss the Royal Apartments of Vittorio Emanuele II, the hunter king; art lovers will remain fascinated by the 14th century frescoes in the little medieval Chapel of San Giuliano. With children, a stop along the fenced-in areas to see the horses is a must, without forgetting that the Park organizes «La Mandria in famiglia», specific activities for parents and children. Finally, even though the Park entrance closes at sunset… the activities continue: on foot, in the miniature train or by minibus, you can visit the open spaces that have once again become the lands of the wild animals.
