PALAZZO MADAMA PER PLANET WEEK

CULTURE & TRADITION
-
From 20 to 28 April, Planet Week is proposing a reflection on the themes of climate action, circular economy, renewable energy, water and youth. Palazzo Madama and the Civic Museums  have structured a wide-ranging awareness-raising project aimed at the community of citizens on this global challenge, and will do so throughout 2024 with a series of exhibitions, projects, meetings, and international conferences that kicked off with the State of Emergency exhibition and will continue during Planet Week to reach their climax between June 2024 and January 2025 with an important series of events revolving around the exhibition "Change! Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow. The Po", set up in the Senate Hall

For the G7 Climate, Energy and Environment and Planet Week, Palazzo Madama commissioned twenty Italian illustrators to work on issues that concern the life and everyday life of each one of us, creating an original image capable of rendering visible a concept related to the climate crisis with an author’s eye. The twenty illustrations, joined by two works dedicated respectively to Torino and Piemonte, will animate an exhibition spread over the territory that, from Piazza Castello, the heart of the city, will go from east to west, symbolically connecting Via Po to Corso Francia.
